Mr Mappo
We all love Mr Mappo. He looks great and has already headed off to his new home where he will sit tastefully for a few more years. I wish that I could say the same for myself – sitting tastefully I mean. However, figuring out upholstery extravaganzas really is fun and I find it very rewarding when it all comes together so well like it did with this one.
I have almost used up all that green map fabric now but did manage to score some more in a light beige/brown – I was wondering about doing a Don lounge suite that I have in it. Is anybody interested??
Meanwhile widow-world is full of surprises and challenges. In the spirit of keeping myself “busy” (although I’m still not sure why that is something to aspire to), I joined a community choir and now find myself swept into these hilarious situations like singing in the mall wearing a turquoise poncho along with a whole heap of other people in turquoise ponchos too. I’m not sure I’ve ever worn a turquoise anything in my life before. But weirdly enough it’s actually quite fun (ponchos aside - but of course, they do fit everybody). I love to sing and singing with other people is even better. Belting out Moon River to a stunned audience of six pensioners and a few tradies eating their lunch-time pies, turns out to be an excellent way of keeping myself busy after all.
Life is full of surprises.
PS Sorry about the crap photo - somehow I failed to "stage" this very well.
